We recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance, especially during peak season (July-August), as the daily quota for Mount Rinjani is limited.
Yes, a 30% deposit is required to secure your booking and trekking ticket. The balance can be paid in cash upon arrival.
Yes, rescheduling is free up to 14 days before your trek. Cancellations may be subject to a fee depending on how close to the date it is.
Preparation & Difficulty
Mount Rinjani is a challenging trek. You should have a good level of fitness and ideally some previous hiking experience. Regular cardio exercise (jogging, swimming) 1 month prior is highly recommended.
We recommend a minimum age of 10 for the crater rim, and 12-14 for the summit. Seniors must be very fit and preferably have a doctor's clearance.
We provide high-quality camping gear including tents, thick sleeping mats, warm sleeping bags, camping pillows, and toilet tents. You only need to bring personal items.
Weather & Best Time
The best time is from April to November during the dry season. The mountain is officially closed from January to March due to heavy rain and extreme weather.
At the campsite (Crater Rim), temperatures drop to 5-10°C at night. At the summit, it can be 0-5°C with strong winds, making it feel much colder. Bring a good windbreaker and warm layers.
Logistics, Meals & Safety
Our porters will carry all camping equipment, food, and water. However, you will need to carry your own daypack with personal items unless you hire an extra personal porter.
Our porters carry sufficient safe, bottled mineral water or boiled mountain spring water for you throughout the trek.
We set up a private toilet tent at every campsite. A hole is dug and covered properly after use to maintain hygiene and follow eco-trekking principles.
Our guides are trained in wilderness first aid. In case of a serious emergency, we coordinate with the Rinjani National Park rangers for evacuation procedures.
