Your morning begins at 6:30 AM with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation. Shortly after, we take a brief 10-minute walk to the Rinjani Trek Center (RTC) in Senaru to complete your registration.
At 8:00 AM, your jungle adventure officially begins. We step directly into the dense, shaded canopy of the Senaru tropical rainforest. The trail is alive with exotic flora, singing birds, and a colorful variety of butterflies. We will make our first major stop at Pos 2 (Montong Satas shelter at 1,500m) for a refreshing tea break and biscuits. We then continue our ascent for another two hours until we reach Pos 3 (Mondokan Lolak at 2,000m), where our team will prepare a delicious, hot lunch. Re-energized, we embark on the final two-hour push up to the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m). Emerging from the tree line, you will be greeted by the most spectacular view on the mountain.
As the day winds down, relax at your pre-set campsite and watch a mesmerizing sunset over Bali’s Mount Agung, with the smoke of Mount Barujari drifting over the lake below.
Wake up to a crisp mountain morning and a beautiful sunrise. Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast with hot coffee or tea while taking in the final, sweeping views of the crater lake.
After packing up, we begin our descent back down the mountain, retracing our steps through the lush tropical rainforest. The journey down is easier and allows for more time to observe the surroundings. If we are lucky, we might spot the rare and shy black monkey (Ebony Leaf Monkey) in the trees. The descent takes approximately five hours, including a dedicated stop for lunch prepared by your porters along the trail.
You will arrive back at Senaru Village (601m) in the early afternoon, where our private transport will be waiting to drop you off safely at your next destination.
