Itinerary
The Journey: Start with a steady walk through rainforests and open grasslands (1.5 hours).
The Challenge: After a lunch break at Pos 2, the trail becomes more demanding. The final push to the Crater Rim involves a steep 25-degree incline through loose earth.
Camp: Spend your first night at the Sembalun Crater Rim with a stunning sunset view.
Summit Push: Wake up at 2:00 AM for a 3-hour climb to the peak to witness an epic sunrise.
The Lake: Descend to the crater floor (3 hours). Visit the natural hot springs just 5 minutes from the lake to rejuvenate your muscles.
Camp: Lakeside camping under the stars.
The Descent: A relaxed 3-hour trek starting at 10:00 AM.
The Scenery: Walk through light forests and green valleys.
Camp: Reach Provok Campsite, a peaceful spot nestled amidst the mountain range.
The Highlight: Descend for 5–6 hours through the famous Torean Valley.
